After a triumphant victory against St. Francis by a score of 42-14, the Chaminade Eagles will look to win the Mission League title this Friday against Cathedral. This will be a very emotional and hard fought game as it is “Senior Night” for Chaminade. This last game of the regular season also has playoff implications as a win for Chaminade could give the team great position for the CIF playoff bracket. However, winning a game against Cathedral is easier said than done.

Cathedral has only lost one game this entire season and is led by its quarterback, Hayden Rettig. Rettig is already committed to LSU and is pocket passer who is very efficient. He has been remarkable this season, throwing 20 TDs while only throwing 3 interceptions. The Phantoms passing game is also benefited by its remarkable receivers Da’Mari Scott and Torry McTyer who each have 7 TD receptions thus far. Chaminade will have to be prepared for an attack by air rather than rushing.

Both teams are fighting for one league championship and a playoff spot, so it should be a very physical and closely contested game. With major implications, this game should come nothing short of exciting.
