Chaminade vs. Cathedral Rematch for Birth to CIF Championship Game

After triumphing the Morro Bay Pirates 61-7 in an absolute statement game, the Eagles are ready to face Cathedral, a team they defeated in the Mission League Championship game 62-26. Chaminade hopes it can advance to its first ever CIF championship game in the Western Division, but will have to knock off a Cathedral team that is playing its best football of the year.
The Phantoms upset Camarillo, winning 28-25. Led by an outstanding defensive performance and a strong outing by their LSU bound quarterback, Hayden Rettig, the Phantoms are confident and looking to upset the Eagles. Cathedral had 10 sacks against Camarillo and Rettig threw for 4 touchdown passes against Camarillo's solid secondary. Chaminade needs to be careful and watch for Cathedral to do something they didn't do in their first matchup: blitz. There is already bad blood between these two teams as multiple mini brawls ensued between multiple players on both sides.
The stakes are very high for this game and nothing is guaranteed for either side. It is simple: win or go home. We shall see which team reigns victorious this Friday at Chaminade.
